PHOTOS: Tours of Yorktown's Historic Homes Supports for Relay for Life

The Historic House Tour raised money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life

The Historic Home Tour in Yorktown provided full tours of some of the town's historic 19th Century homes and raised money for Relay for Life. The event was sponsored by Douglas Dill of Houlihan Lawrence Yorktown Brokerage and by The Sisterhood Reform Temple of Putnam Valley.

"We have dubbed this house the jewel of Yorktown," Dill said of the 1879 Grand Victorian off of Underhill Road. "Everybody knows this house," he said. Visitors who drive by the house everyday enjoyed the opportunity learn the history of the home and to get a special look inside.

The tour also included an 1895 Victorian Home & Office of Dr. Rich (Yorktown's “town doctor”), an 1890's Victorian Cottage, and Captain Underhill's Estate c. 1880 (now know as Soundview Prepatory School).
