Dr. Koch Returns to States After Helping People in Ghana

The Hudson Valley Hospital Center doctor sends his final update from Ghana as he heads back to New York.

Dr. Koch, a board certified plastic surgeon with Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, went to in Ghana with the Health and Humanitarian Aid Foundation from May 4 to May 13 to do reconstructive surgery on children and adults. Here is his last update from the trip:

May 14, 2012

Returning home Monday. Was able to finish cases. Explored and repaired the wrist injury on the woman attacked by the machete. Also started an HVHC marketing campaign on Ghana buses!

We…Read More are like the forgotten stepchild even though we are part of the same community as Cortlandt and Peekskill. You guys really need to start giving us some coverage, and if you need a reporter, I will send in my resume. Better yet, you can read all my many comments in the PCP. There's a lot going on here that nobody writes about that would be interesting to many readers.

It seems Patch moves editors every year. Liz was here when I signed up. Then she was shortly moved…Read More to Rye and Rasheed took over. He must have been here about a year and then he left when the new format was introduced. Both times patch started cooking and then it got cut down just as new staff got their mojo going. A new editor with a new format seems like starting from scratch again. I know AOL/Patch needs to get some cash flow going quick (from what I've read) but I can't see what they are trying to do exactly by tipping the cart over and over
