Peekskill Republicans Meet & Set Candidate Selection Process

Peekskill Republicans Meet

The Peekskill Republican City Committee met last night for the second time in three weeks and put in motion an aggressive schedule to select candidates for this fall's local elections. Given the woeful performance of the current city administration, more people have expressed an interest in running for office this year than have been in the recent past.  Peekskill Republicans are open to consider anyone, regardless of their party affiliation, who believe in our mission, which is "To support honest candidates and elected officials who sponsor and advance ethical government policies that are transparent, fair and lead to and result in delivering essential services to the community in a cost effective manner". As a political party, this is what we fundamentally stand for and we expect that our candidates will embrace these core beliefs.  A number of excellent potential candidates have already stepped forward for mayor and city council and we are anticipating more will do so in the weeks ahead. Those who share our beliefs and have an interest in getting involved with the governing of their community should feel free to contact us. We expect to endorse our slate by the first week of April.
