Tides are Victorious: Daily Sports Digest June 12

Welcome to Patch's daily snapshot of sports in Peekskill and Cortlandt.

Baseball-WRWBL

The Peekskill Tides of the Westchester Rockland Wood Bat League defeated the New York Thunder Dogs 3-2 in 10 innings on June 10 at Peekskill Stadium according to its website.

Justin Sims and Denis Alimonti led the Tides with two hits each.

Peekskill starter Rhett Colton had a superb performance, allowing just two runs, one earned and scattering four hits in 8.1 innings pitched.

Tom Banca earned the win in relief with Joe Jensen picking up the save.

Trophy Dinner Information

The AA/AAA Division Trophy Dinner is Tuesday, June 19, 2012 - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Majors/Juniors Division Trophy Dinner is Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Location: The Mansion on the Hill – Colonial Terrace

Cost: Players are free, adults are $25.00 and additional children are $15.00.
