Defending state champs start practice today
Peekskill, last year's state Class A girls basketball champion, starts practice today.
The Red Devils are led by senior guard , who signed a letter of intent with Hofstra on Nov. 9.
Peekskill will start the defense of its title at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 7 against visiting R.C. Ketcham.
Casin-Silva runs at cross-country state championships
Lakeland/Panas' Carolina Casin-Silva placed in the top half of the field with a 39th-place finish in the Class A girls cross-country state championships in Verona on Nov. 12.
