Girls Basketball
Peekskill's Asia Jackson, who will play at Hofstra next season, was a Class A first-team all-state selection according to the New York State Sports Writers Association.
Bonnes Gets 100th
Lakeland/Panas came away with a 15-7 triumph at Yorktown April 18 in girls lacrosse as per Isaac Cass' game story on MSG Varsity.
UConn-bound Alexa Bonnes registered three goals, including the 100th of her career, for the Rebels. Fresno State-bound senior Chyna Hill tallied three goals.
Teammate Emma Bozek, who will play field hockey next year at North Carolina, led Lakeland/Panas with a game-high four goals and two assists.
Amanda Vasta (two goals), Megan Bradbury (one goal), Taylor Scialdone (one goal) and Molly Fitzpatrick (one goal) also contributed to the scoring column for the Rebels.
Lakeland/Panas first-year starting goalie Amelia Lopez made a career high 16 saves.
Sailors Win
Hendrick Hudson's Mike Cruckshank struck out nine in six innings of work for the win in his first start in Hen Hud's 10-2 triumph against visiting Peekskill April 18 as stated on Vincent Mercogliano's post on the LoHud Baseball Blog.
Teammate Matt Solnik went 2 for 4 with four RBI.
