That is the case for lacrosse stud Matt Ledwin, who has given a verbal commitment to play at Johns Hopkins.

Boys youth hoops
Peekskill High School has a proud basketball history, one that includes five state championships.
One of the reasons for that is that players in Peekskill play hoops well before they get to the varsity and are ready when they play for legendary Peekskill boys basketball coach Lou Panzanaro, who has won well over 500 games and is the all-time wins leader in Section 1.
One of those youth teams in Peekskill that prepares the players for high-school ball is its entry in the boys seventh grade AA division of the Tri-County Basketball League.
Peekskill is 2-2 in the division, which is a highly competitive one.
Rebels fall to Brewster
Lakeland/Panas' ice-hockey squad was game but it fell to host Brewster 7-3 on Dec. 30.
Patrick McKiernan scored twice for the Rebels with teammate Connor Bubolo registering one goal.
