Former Coach Bill Tribou has confirmed that he was hired to become an assistant coach at
Tribou was appointed by the Peekskill school board earlier this month - his appointment was on the agenda for its Aug. 21 meeting. "I had a gut feeling that it was going to end up this way," Tribou said of the outcome.
Asked why he chose to resign, Tribou said it was in the best interest of he and his family. He declined to discuss the settlement further.
Tribou chose Peekskill, he explained, because he felt the team could use his support. Regarding any possible future match ups with Greeley, he felt that would be unlikely given their schedules. Tribou has not decided on whether his stint at Peekskill will go beyond this season.
