F-Sharp in Peekskill

Did F-sharp in Peekskill fall flat?

Anybody know what happened to the "F-Sharp" venue (at South & S. Division St) that was touted as being "...perhaps the finest combination of restaurant and music venue not only in Westchester County, but the Hudson Valley..."??? I drive past this space every day..and night, and it doesn't look like much has been done with the space, in the year and change it's been "worked on"...looks to me like the guy who had the space bailed...another "almost was" for downtown.......

Really good question, I'd like to know the answer as well.

Check with the City of Peekskill, perhaps the economic development person although the person in that position now was not there when the project started, but they can look up the history and fill you in. It is a shame it has not moved forward.

The whole thing is odd..the space was being developed by John Ford...who had a piano refurbishing business in that space..according to what I read...he got... with the help of the city of Peekskill... 2 Empire State Development Corporation grants totaling $320,000...a $45,000 façade grant... and a $275,000 RESTORE grant...this was way over a year ago...if you look at the space...it looks like absolutely nothing was done. Maybe it's just the way things get done up here in Westchester..2 to 3 times longer than it needs to...like filling a pot-hole in the street.. or of re-doing a roadway...like that soon-to-be-a-crater section of a road (202) in front of the Hudson Valley hospital..which they broke ground for in...what?...May of 2011?...and didn't start until a couple of months ago?..that road is like the surface of the moon...and soon...people are gonna start losing their front-ends..Westchester is a seriously whacky place.....

For the last couple of months or so, there was a sign in the window that stated "Music Coming Soon"...now there are signs from a Realtor saying the property is "for Sale"... ...pretty sad....
