Peekskill Schools: Retirements, Tenure Appointments

The Peekskill City School District recently recognized a number of staff members—those who are saying goodbye and tenure candidates.

A ceremony was held at last week's Board of Education meeting.





Here's a list of the retirees (effective dates vary from summer 2012 to summer 2013):
Nancy Brovarski (secretary at Woodside)
Albert Cazes (math teacher at the middle school)
Marlene DeVaul (elementary teacher at Oakside)
Amy Pollack (ESL teacher at the middle school)
Janet Studin (secretary at the middle school)
John Testa (technology teacher at the high school)
Marjory Trainor (special education teacher at Oakside)
Shanti Urreta (elementary teacher at Hillcrest and Oakside)
Linda Wildman (teaching assistant at the high school)

Here's a list of the tenure candidates (effective Aug. 31):

Jennifer Bruno (elementary teacher at Hillcrest)
Denise Chavarria (teaching assistant at Oakside)
