Megan Jahoda, a senior at Hendrick Hudson High School, recently committed to play softball at California University of Pennsylvania.

Jahoda has been an All-League and All-Section starting catcher now for three years.  She has been a multi-sport athlete for the Sailors, as she has been a successful swimmer on the swim team and forward on the girls’ basketball team.

Her coach, Kurt Thomas, is proud of his starting catcher.

“She has worked extremely hard as this is a great moment for Megan, our team, and the entire Hen Hud community,” Thomas said. “I wish her the best of luck and I will miss her next year.”

Athletic Director Tom Baker was also very proud of Megan’s accomplishments.

“Megan has been a wonderful student-athlete for Hendrick Hudson,” Baker said. “She is a great ambassador to the youth in our community in regards to our athletic program.  I look forward to following her success at the next level.”
