Teachers and parents are supposed to be working together for the common good of our children. I have no issue with the teachers endorsements of Aglialoro (I support him too) or Macias. However, I personally am supporting Conti. I just don't understand why teachers would support Phil DeGaetano. He actively and purposely campaigned against the bond that would fix the environment that you work in! A bond that would have assured hundreds of more UNION construction jobs in Clarkstown for SEVERAL YEARS. He actively and purposely sought the endorsement of the Concerned Taxpayers who advocated for firing teachers and cutting salaries and increasing class size. It just amazes me, after the three years of embarrassing headlines and a division on the board that is as wide and deep and the Grand Canyon that started the day he was elected in 2009, that the teachers union would endorse Phil DeGaetano.
