Coach Jordan Hirsch said, “This year’s team set goals for themselves and understood that reaching these goals would only be done as a group. While this team’s talent was easily recognized; their character, work ethic and their ability to handle adverse situations on a day to day basis was ultimately what drove them to completing a truly special accomplishment. The support from the school community, team families, and administration was extremely humbling and has created a lasting memory for everyone involved. While this is a great accomplishment, what is even more exciting is thinking about the future of Hendrick Hudson basketball, Hendrick Hudson athletics, and the continuing support that will surely follow the great student athletes we have in our district.”

The final score of Wednesday’s game was Blue Mountain 47, John Jay 35.
