Veterans Memorial Bath House Renovations for 2012

The plans for the pool bath house are almost complete and the project is expected to be complete in time for the 2012 summer swimming season.

The city-hired consultant firm Ward Associates presented the final rendering for the Veterans Memorial pool bath house renovations at the June 6 Committee of the Whole meeting.

The renovations will cost $300,000, with $250,000 in capitol improvement funds and $50,000 in GAP funds earmarked for the project. The project is expected to be completed for the summer 2012 swimming season.

The renovation will bring the bathhouse up to compliance with recent code updates by providing new fixtures, wall tiles, windows, security doors, an updated electrical panel and other items. It will also include improvements to the building entryway and to the inside of the men’s and women’s bathhouses.
