Town of Cortlandt Supervisor Linda Puglisi is encouraging residents to sign up for email notifications.
Information her office and other departments is posted on the town's website and Facebook page. News agencies also feature details from advisories, notices and statements.
"However, it would be more efficient and faster if the town, through the supervisor's office, could email you directly," Puglisi wrote earlier this week in an online note titled "Attention Residents."
Email addresses are kept confidential, according to Puglisi. To sign up, visit townofcortlandt.com and go to the Updates by Email section (the link is on the left-hand side of the page). The phone number for the supervisor's office is 914-734-1001.
