Written by Tom Auchterlonie.

The New Castle Police Department issued a missing-person alert for Susan Feinberg, a 59-year-old woman who was last seen on Monday.

Feinberg was parking her vehicle before heading to the Chappaqua train station for a doctor's appointment in New York City, police said. Her last-known whereabouts were around 12:05 p.m. on Monday when she exited a train in New York City, police said, after boarding one in Chappaqua. Earlier on Tuesday, police said that she was last seen near the Chappaqua train station. However, she has not been heard from and she did not arrive for her appointment, police added.

Feinberg is a white female, approximately 5'4" and 130 lbs. She also walks with a crutch, has gray hair and brown eyes, police said.

People with information that could be used in the case are asked to either call police Det. Corrado at 914-238-6347 or the police department's main number, which is 914-238-4423.

This story, originally posted at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 20), was updated at 3:10 p.m. to reflect new information from police about Feinberg's whereabouts.
