After finding out that its rom them earlier this month, fficials are working to recover that money and move forward.
The Company’s Assistant Treasurer, Michael Ruh has taken over as treasurer in the interim, the Verplanck Fire Protective Association president Jeanne O’Brien told Patch.
“Regarding the recovery of any funds, I will be working with our insurance company on this matter and have not yet had the opportunity to sit down with them as of yet. We are also in the process of obtaining an outside independent audit and will review with them any suggestions and recommendations they will provide in order to protect our future funds,” O’Brien said.
The Company could not provide any further information, as the investigation is still ongoing, O’Brien said.
