Two Arrested in Cortlandt Thanksgiving Eve DWI Details

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested two area residents during drunken driving details on Thanksgiving Eve night, according to officials. 

A 35-year-old Cortlandt Manor man who was involved in a property damage accident is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was arrested at about 12:10 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 28) and released pending a Dec. 10 appearance in Putnam Valley Justice Court.

A 35-year-old Mohegan Lake woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated, as well as infractions for speeding and having an open container. The arrest occurred at about 3:10 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 28) on Route 6. She, too, was released, and is due Dec. 9 in Cortlandt Justice Court.

"Ensuring highway safety is a mission priority of the New York State Police," authorities said in a statement.
