Troopers: Peekskill Man Drove Drunk in Cortlandt

A 23-year-old Peekskill man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following a recent traffic stop, officials said.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested the man at about 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, on East Main Street in Cortlandt. Police stopped him for passing a flashing red signal without coming to a stop.

The defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.13-percent, according to authorities. The legal limit is 0.08. He is due Jan. 10 in Cortlandt Justice Court.
