Troopers: Drunken Driver Hit 75 MPH in a 30-MPH Zone

A 37-year-old Peekskill man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated after police stopped him for traveling "in excess of 75 mph" in a 30-mph zone, according to police.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks pulled over the driver at about 3:35 a.m. Saturday on Nottingham Road in Peekskill.

The man's blood-alcohol level was 0.14 percent. The legal limit is 0.08.

He is due Nov. 14 in Peekskill City Court.
