The following is from the Westchester County Police. It does not indicate a conviction.
Three Peekskill men were arrested after they were found allegedly removing items from an unoccupied home on Cortlandt Street on May 31 at 6 p.m.
Westchester County Police Officer Rob Kelly responded to the home after county police received a report about a possible burglary in progress. When Kelly arrived on Cortlandt Street, he observed a van leaving the home and he stopped the vehicle to investigate. The vehicle was found to contain various household items, scrap metal items and a ride-on mower – property that was determined to belong to the homeowner and not the occupants of the vehicle.
Dwain Williams, 30, of 807 Main Street and Alphanso Corrodos, 45, of 167 Union Ave. were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, a felony. Nathaniel Graham, 34, of 807 Main St. was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree and Grand Larceny 4th degree, felonies.
Graham, a former tenant at the Cortlandt Avenue home, is facing the additional charge because he claimed to his two accomplices that the ride-on mower was his personal property and that he had left it behind at the property.
The three suspects are due in Town Court June 15.
