Police: Teen Had Sex With Girl in School, Sent Threatening Texts

The New Rochelle teen allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old girl while in a private school in Yorktown, police said.

A 17-year-old New Rochelle teen faces criminal charges after he allegedly had a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old girl, said. 

The teen, whose name is being withheld due to his eligibility for youthful offender status, was charged with sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor. 

On March 13, a Cortlandt resident reported to police that her 15-year-old daughter, who is a student at a private school in Yorktown, had received threatening text messages from an ex-boyfriend. Police said her ex-boyfriend is also the girl's classmate.

The matter was referred to state police troopers in Cortlandt since the text message was received while the girl was in her Cortlandt Manor home, police said.

In addition, the girl's parents alleged sexual misconduct between the two students, which had allegedly occurred at the . Investigation revealed during January and February, the defendant had a sexual intercourse with the girl while they were inside the school, police said. 

The teen, who was under arrest at the Cortlandt State Police Barracks for the alleged text messages, was placed under arrest by Yorktown detectives on March 16 and brought to police headquarters for processing.

He was issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due in on March 20.

It sounds like they both go to school at Soundview Prep in Yorktown. He's from New Rochelle.
