Police said a trooper made a traffic stop at 8:30 p.m. on April 10 on Welcher Avenue in Peekskill. A brief struggle ensued.

Bruff fled the scene in his vehicle, dragging the trooper on Welcher Avenue. The trooper was thrown from the vehicle and suffered a head injury.

Bruff is still at large.

The trooper was treated and released from Westchester Medical Center.

Bruff should be considered armed and dangerous. If he is observed, call 911 immediately, police said. Anyone with knowledge of Bruff’s location is urged to contact the State Police in Cortlandt by calling (914)769-2600.  Calls will remain confidential.
