A 22-year-old Croton-on-Hudson man faces a rape charge for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old female, according to Westchester County Police.
Police arrested Dean Picariello, 22, on Dec. 14 and charged him with third-degree rape and second-degree distribution of indecent material, both felonies, along with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Picariello, who police said resides at the Croton Point Park campground, allegedly had sex with the girl at another location in the Town of Cortlandt. Police also allege that that he sent the girl a sexually explicit text message.
Picariello was arraigned, sent to county Jail on a $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt town court at a later date.
