Police: Peekskill Mother and Daughter Arrested for Fight at New City Diner

Two Peekskill women are facing assault charges in Yorktown after they allegedly caused injuries to two victims, said. 

Ana Uday-Gordillo, 45, was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and Melinda Uday­-Gordillo, 21, was charged with one count of third-degree assault, misdemeanors. 

The incident occurred on June 24 at about 9:30 p.m. Four police officers responded to the New City Diner after they received a call about an altercation in the parking lot. Investigation revealed both women – a mother and a daughter – had allegedly kicked and scratched a Peekskill woman, causing facial injuries to the victim.

In addition, police said Ana Uday-Gordillo allegedly struck a Peekskill man in the face, causing him to sustain a laceration to his lip. 

The two defendants voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police headquarters on June 27 at about 7 p.m. where they were both officially arrested and charged. 

Both women were served with temporary orders of protection and then released. They were scheduled to appear in court on July 5.
