Peekskill Man Stabs White Plains Man in Back

The altercation occurred at the Peekskill man's ex-girlfriend's apartment.

Peekskill resident Carrell Torres was charged with assault after he stabbed a 32-year-old White Plains man who Torres found inside his ex-girlfriend’s Stuhr Gardens apartment. The stabbing occured around 11 p.m. Dec. 20.

Torres, 29, got into an altercation with the White Plains man before he stabbed him in the back. When Peekskill police arrived they saw Torres fleeing into the woods surrounding the complex. After a brief foot chase, police apprehended him.

The White Plains victim was treated at the scene by Peekskill EMS and transported to the Westchester County Medical Center. He is currently in stable condition with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

Torres was charged with Burglary 1st (B/F) and Assault 2nd (D/F) and held pending his arraignment in Peekskill City Court this afternoon.
