A Peekskill man is due in court Friday after he mugged another man on North Division this past weekend, according to police.
Peekskill city police arrested Robert Patterson, 35, and charged him with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, Saturday.
Officers were conducting a routine patrol when a man flagged them down on the 100 block of North Division Street shortly after 2:15 a.m. and reported that he had just been robbed by a person fitting Patterson’s description.
Officers later found Patterson a short distance away from the victim’s location and attempted to apprehend him. Patterson fled the scene, but was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
Patterson was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail.
Patterson had prior conviction for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in 2004, but was released on parole in 2006.
