A 47-year-old Peekskill man, Seymour Corrodus, was driving drunk at a high rate of speed and committing several traffic violations while he had his nine and 10 year old daughters in the car, Peekskill police report. Police arrested Corrodusn July 7 at 6:30 p.m. for aggravated DWI with a child, a "Leandra's Law" violation class E felony, and DWI, a misdemeanor.
Police stopped Corrodus on the 100 block of Union Ave. and found that he had been driving while intoxicated by alcohol, police report. Police said Corrodus refused to submit to a chemical test to determin his blood alcohol content and failed numerous sobriety tests. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail. His daughters were turned over to a family member and Child Protective Services was contacted. Officer Ed Lemp made the arrest.
