Peekskill Man Convicted in U.S. District Court on Drug Charges

A Peekskill man was convicted in U.S. District Court this week for crack sales.

Jarmaal ‘Mo Money’ McLeod, 29, of Peekskill, was charged with federal drug counts of drug possession and distribution with the intent to sell in U.S. District Court Thursday, according to the Journal News.

McLeod, who was arrested in April, and a group of other conspirators distributed 28 grams of crack sometime between October and November of 2009. He also attempted to acquire another 20 grams of crack sometime in November of 2009.

His indictment was unsealed in December.

McLeod is currently awaiting sentencing at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.
