Peekskill Man Arrested for Armed Robbery at Cortlandt Gas Station

State police are still searching for the second suspect in the Dec. 28 armed robbery of a BP Mart located near the hamlet of Montrose.

A 23-year-old Peekskill man is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt town court friday for his role in the Dec. 28 armed robbery of a BP Mart located on 2030 Albany Post Road.

State police arrested Marquise R. Roberson today and charged him with first-degree robbery, a felony.

The robbery took place at about 12:40 a.m when Roberson and another man entered the store and pistol whipped the store clerk  with a handgun, according to investigators. Roberson and his accomplice then took an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

They were last seen running north, toward Maiden Lane.

Roberson was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court Friday.

Investigators are still searching for the second suspect. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the state police BC at 914-737-7171 or 914-788-8044.

Looks like he has a tattoo of the NYC skyline. I guess he can get the new WTC done in prison.

Out on a Limb: Another suspect with an illegal gun. Do any of Gov Cuomo's forthcoming gun restrictions affect knuckleheads like this suspect?? Congrats to the police in their arrest.

Thank god the new gun "law" will have a 7 bullet limit instead of the horrific 10 round limit, this will definitely have a huge impact on gun crimes.

Someone tell me with a straight face that a person willing to commit first degree robbery will be deterred because he does not want to break the law to acquire the handgun he needs to carry out the robbery.

If you ask a liberal, the answer would likely be yes.

Thug life is again attacking our shores. I can't help but wonder if all this could have been avoided if we had fully funded the Kiley Center. On the bright side, Marquise will now have plenty of time in prison to read MY BELOVED WORLD, the new Borzoi title by Sonia Soto-soto-sotomayor.

What a slug, dreg of the earth....sorry but I am so sick and tired of senseless violence and folks that think they can take from others what is not theirs...congrats to the State Police good work...and thank you

Once the liberal scum sheep take the guns away guys like this will rule the day
Thebxoutlaw412 January 18, 2013 at 03:06 PM
Mr. Teleman....Liberalism has nothing to do with this. Folks like you (cowards) feel you need guns for protection. If someone with a gun wanted to put a bullet in your head right now, it would be done and I seriously doubt that you would be able to get your GUN out quick enough to prevent it. The fact is, NO ONE is going to tell you that a bullet with your name on it is heading for you at that moment. If the Peekskill Inn clerk had a gun, he still would have been pistol whipped. Unless you have that gun in your hand, you still don't stand much of a chance. Your boy Ronald Reagan wanted to the same thing as your "so-called" liberal scum. But it's your conservative pigheaded idiots who are the war-mongering bottom-feeders that always want to start something, but never have a way to end it. Guns kill people simple and plain. The good-guys with guns are never around when the bad-guys are shooting up the place..Can't imagine why...

To the Thebxoutlaw412, you are misguided about our collective safety. Bad guys, surprise-surprise, prey on the weak. That's what cowards do.
