Peekskill Man Arrested for Armed Robbery at Cortlandt Gas Station

State police are still searching for the second suspect in the Dec. 28 armed robbery of a BP Mart located near the hamlet of Montrose.


A 23-year-old Peekskill man is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt town court friday for his role in the Dec. 28 armed robbery of a BP Mart located on 2030 Albany Post Road.

State police arrested Marquise R. Roberson today and charged him with first-degree robbery, a felony.

The robbery took place at about 12:40 a.m when Roberson and another man entered the store and pistol whipped the store clerk  with a handgun, according to investigators. Roberson and his accomplice then took an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

They were last seen running north, toward Maiden Lane.

Roberson was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court Friday.
