Peekskill Man Charged in Alleged Knife-Point Robbery

A 37-year-old Peekskill man is facing a felony charge after an alleged knife-point robbery that took place at the corner of North Division Street and Pemart Avenue.

Officers responded there at about 2 a.m. Nov. 7, police said in a statement earlier this week.

"Upon arrival they interviewed a 39-year-old male victim who stated he was riding his bike near the above mentioned intersection when he was knocked off his bike by an unknown black male who held what he believed to be a knife to his throat," authorities said. "The victim stated the unknown male then threatened to 'cut his throat' if he did not give him his money. The victim turned over his money and was then punched in the face by the unknown male. The unknown male then fled the scene on the victim’s bicycle."

Det. Ralph D'Aliso took the lead on the case and later determined the suspect was Robert Patterson. D'Aliso spotted Patterson at about 11 a.m. that same day, on the 800 block of Main Street, but the suspect ran when the detective approached him for the arrest.

Police took him into custody on the 100 block of Nelson Avenue. They charged him with first-degree robbery a felony. He was sent to Westchester County Jail.
