Peekskill city officials sent out an advisory at 4:43PM warning motorists to seek alternate routes because Route 9 is closed between Welcher Avenue and Louisa Street.
An overturned tractor trailer on US 9 northbound north of Welcher Avenue and a fuel spill have NY 9's right lane and shoulder of 2 lanes blocked.
It's been a clean-up day on Route 9 since a county waste-management tractor-trailer jacknifed and overturned at around 10 a.m., according to news reports.
