Sorry to see a kid homeless at 19. He doesn't look like a criminal the way some on here have (tats up their neck etc)

Ever notice that homeless people have enough money for drugs and tattoos?
Tucker J February 13, 2013 at 04:51 PM
Wow! he does't LOOK like a criminal?!?!? He does look like a victim of society, helpless poor soul, we should pay him for what society has done to him.

Homeless and drugs at 19- wonder what kind of family he's from - - where's his mother and father?
Shaun McGuire February 13, 2013 at 05:14 PM
Winston Churchill, Thomas Edison, JFK Jr., FDR, King George V ... and what do they all have in common? Tattoos. Stop being ignorant. What MOST petty criminals have in common is much simpler ... poverty.
Teleman February 14, 2013 at 03:28 AM
And the leading eliminator of poverty has been proven to be a solid family unit consisting of a married mother AND father.
Azaleaproject February 14, 2013 at 03:56 AM
And as we speak of these things what will we do to help these kids, ..poverty...parents...it's nothing new,but that change takes place when we begin to care outside of ourselves
Sophia February 14, 2013 at 04:23 AM

Collegenurse February 14, 2013 at 02:30 PM
my first impression LOSER am I sorry he is homeless maybe...but feel sorry for a punk that has no regard for others property no way...I also wondered what other crimes in might be capable of roaming our streets as a predator... hope he gets what justice is due...2 of my neighbors cars were broken into..kind, considerate folks who now had to repair broken windows...feel violated..and worried they need to keep this from their children so they aren't scared being outside in our neighborhood...again...Dog and alarm...peekskill has issues...
Nelson2Main February 14, 2013 at 05:54 PM
Ah-Ha-Ha-Ha!!!! All of you bloggers who were so quick to conclude this CRIMINAL was a victim, your ignorance is disheartening. You glance at a booking photo and assume the defendant's hardships. "He or she must come from a broken home. It's not crime, it's poverty and social injustice." Proven wrong this instance. When will criminals be accounable for their actions? Crime is a choice chosen by bad people. Oh and @Tucker J...hope you have a big wallet, or were you just saying?
Collegenurse February 14, 2013 at 06:02 PM
Thanks Nelson2main...this guy a victim! Of what!! He is a criminal, low life that robbed from innocent people, stole from Stop and Shop...yeah look that one up... and it was just a matter of time till he broke into someone home and stole property or worse hurt someone...victim my arse
joshua tanner February 14, 2013 at 06:26 PM
Poverty need not be an issue. Illegitimacy is very high. There's a 70% chance the kid isn't with a father - which is true of vast majority of men in prison. Thats' not to say the single moms don't try but boys need a dad and not a double dose of mom. If a 19 yr old kid prefers to be on the street then there is a backstory somewhere imo
Jose Newport February 14, 2013 at 08:03 PM

Mike February 14, 2013 at 08:35 PM
Well am a friend of the guy and in my eyes he was a fine young man and the things he done in his life reflects the parents yes I understand that but where was his parents when he needed them cause there r always 2 sides to a story. I see where u said he didn't want to b there but at 19 who does want to leave with there mother.
Intheknow February 17, 2013 at 08:25 AM
Wake up people, unless I am mistaken there is no homeless shelter on the 600 block of Ringgold. This young man has obviously made choices, poor choices. He did not provide the police with an address so they won't know where to pick him up the next time he engages in illegal activity. He would rather smoke pot and couch surf. His parents or lack there of have no bearing on HIS decision to do what he did. So what if his mom made bad choices, clearly she isn't anymore and the reason he isn't staying with her is obvious....he would rather get high, couch surf, and steal to get what he wants! Blamimg the parent(s) is such an immature cop out!!

I almost didn't comment on any of the recent posts but feel the need to state that obscenities are really offensive on this site and quite frankly if the moderator doesn't do something I will no longer be frequenting this blog.
