Just before midnight July 18, state police patrolling Route 9 in Peekskill stopped a driver who was moving from lane to lane.

They charged 45-year-old Jamel C. Culthberson with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, a Class E Felony and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, also a Felony.

The charge is a felony because the Montrose resident has a previous DWI related conviction, police said.

Culthberson provided a positive breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .23%, over 2 times the legal limit of .08%.

He was released with a court date of July 28 in the City of Peekskill Court.
