Cortlandt Troopers: Woman's Blood-Alcohol Level Was More Than Twice Legal Limit

A 27-year-old Mahopac woman is accused of getting behind the wheel with a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit, officials said.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks made the arrest at about 2:55 a.m. Saturday on Route 6 in Cortlandt.

Police stopped the woman because she was speeding and failing to maintain her lane of travel, according to a statement from authorities. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.19 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.

The woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated. She is due Monday in Cortlandt Justice Court.
