Cortlandt Troopers: Man Drove with High Blood-Alcohol Level

A 41-year-old Mohegan Lake man is accused of getting behind the wheel with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, according to police.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks made the arrest at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday on East Main Street. They stopped the driver for an equipment violation.

The defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.18-percent, authorities said. The legal limit is 0.08.

Police charged the defendant with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated. He is due Friday in Cortlandt Justice Court.
