Cortlandt Troopers: 4 Businesses Sold Alcohol to Teen

Four out of the five businesses targeted for an underage drinking enforcement detail sold alcohol to a 19-year-old, officials say.

Fulgum's Restaurant and Bar, located at 2151 Albany Post Road in Montrose, was the only business that did not sell to the teen, who was attempting to buy alcohol without being asked to show identification. State Police in Cortlandt conducted the initiative, according to a statement released Monday.

The following businesses sold alcohol to the 19-year-old, police said:

  • AJ's Bar and Grill, 3833 Crompond Road in Cortlandt Manor
  • Montrose Deli, 4 Kings Ferry Road in Montrose
  • Richy's Pub and Grub, 2 Miranda Plaze in Putnam Valley
  • Tenampa Restaurant Inc., 2011 Albany Post Road in Croton-On-Hudson
Employees at each of the businesses received appearance tickets for violating the New York State Alcohol Beverage Control Law. The applicable corporations did, too, according to authorities.
