Saturday, June 16 – 8:15 p.m. – Oscar Jackson, 64, of North James Street, Peekskill, was arrested by Westchester County Police at Kohl's department store on Route 6 and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Jackson was detained by store security and accused of hiding a pair of Nike sneakers worth $75 in a sweatshirt and leaving the store without paying for them. He was arraigned in Cortlandt Town Court and was remanded to the County Jail to await a June 18 appearance in Cortlandt Town Court.
Friday, June 15 – 9:53 p.m. – Westchester County Police Officer Rob Kelly arrested a Putnam Valley man at a sobriety checkpoint conducted along Route 6 in front of the Cortlandt Town Center. Patrick Golden, 54, of Poset Road was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He is due to appear in Cortlandt Town Court on June 29.
7:30 p.m. – A Cold Spring man was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 6 at Conklin Street after he was found to be driving a vehicle without the interlock device he is required to have as a result of a previous conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.
George Bridle, 39, of Route 9 was charged by Officer Donald Palmer after a computer check revealed that his license was suspended and that he is required to have an interlock device as a result of a June 2010 DWI conviction in Cortlandt. He was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree and Operating a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device, misdemeanors. He was released pending an Aug. 17 appearance in Cortlandt Town Court.
Tuesday, June 12 – 8:21 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a business on Route 9A for an activated burglar alarm. The alarm was activated in error by an employee.
Monday, June 11 – 8:59 a.m. – A resident of Eton Downs reported that someone vandalized the side mirror on his while it was parked outside his home overnight.
