Cortlandt Man Arrested for Burglary in Montrose

The owner of the house arrived home while the burglary was in progress, state police report.

The following was provided by the State Police. It does not indicate a conviciton.

On August 30th, 2012, at 2:38 p.m., State Police at Cortlandt responded to a private residence on Montrose Point Road in Montrose. The owner of the home arrived to find a burglary in progress. Units arrived within minutes and took the suspect, John South, into custody.

South was charged with one count of second-degree Burglary, a Felony, and was remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail.
