Cortlandt Man, 76, Shoots Wife, 75, After Fight
She was taken to Westchester Medical Center with a shotgun wound to her abdomen.
From the New York State Police:
On 06/15/13, at approximately 4:16am, NYSP Cortlandt received a 911 call from a 48 year old resident at 10 Udell Court, Cortlandt, NY reporting that his father, Mario Vallorosi (76 years old) had just shot his 75 year old mother and was still inside the residence.
Responding troopers forcefully entered the residence, took the father into custody and located the mother with an apparent shotgun wound to her abdomen.
The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery.
Mario Vallorosi was charged with Assault-1st and arraigned in the Village of Croton Justice Court by V/Justice Sam Watkins. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash bail/bond.
He is to appear in the T/Cortlandt Justice Court on 06/17/13 at 9:00am.
Preliminary investigation by the NYSP Cortlandt BCI revealed that both the defendant and victim had previously been involved in an argument the night before. Investigation is continuing.
