On Sept. 7 at about 12:20 p.m. New York State Police at Cortlandt arrested John Disclafani, 40, of Buchanan for third degree burglary. During the early morning hours of Sept. 4 five businesses were burglarized, their doors were forced open and cash was taken. Surveillance video captured the suspect, who investigators and troopers identified as Disclafani, who they recognized from their previous dealings with him. Police conducted a 24-hour surveillance of Disclafani and arrested him while he was pumping gas at the Mobil station on 9A in Peekskill.
Police obtained a search warrant for Disclafani’s residence on Tate Ave. and found evidence linking him to one of the burglaries at Just Imagine U Hair Salon on Albany Post Road in Cortlandt Manor. The investigation is ongoing into the other four burglaries. Disclafani is currently awaiting arraignment at the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court.
