Cops: Woman Steals More Than $1K Worth of Goods from Cortlandt Town Center Store

A 24-year-old Mohegan Lake woman is accused of stealing more than $1,000 in video games and other electronics from the Walmart in the Cortlandt Town Center, officials said.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Mystique M. Miller at about 8 p.m. Saturday. The theft took place around 7:40 p.m. Friday.

"Although Miller fled from the scene, investigators were able to track her to a nearby residence where she was taken into custody the following day," officials said in a statement.

Police charged Miller with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. She is due Jan. 24 in Cortlandt Justice Court.

During an interview after the arrest, Miller admitted to several other recent larcenies, according to officials.
