Cops: Local Man Tosses TVs Over Fence in Theft at Walmart

A 35-year-old Yorktown Heights man is accused of stealing several television sets from the Walmart in the Cortlandt Town Center.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks announced Tuesday the arrest of Daniel J. Weber, who they have charged in connection with incident, which occurred several months ago.

"In November of 2013, Weber entered the Walmart located in the Cortlandt Town Center and did steal four television sets by throwing them over the fence into the garden center," officials said in a press release. "He then attempted to retrieve them after exiting the store. Employees heard the noise of the televisions being thrown and upon investigating found the television sets, preventing Weber from retrieving them."

Weber is facing a felony charge of fourth-degree grand larceny. He is due back in Cortlandt Justice Court March 10.
