Cops: Peekskill Man Shows at Police Headquarters for Warrant

A 27-year-old Peekskill man turned himself in at Carmel Police headquarters earlier this week "after being advised he had an active bench warrant issued for his arrest," authorities say. It was issued after he failed to show in court.

Michael Cavaluzzi, II, surrendered at about 5:10 p.m. Monday. The underlying charge was third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Following arraignment before Carmel Town Justice Joseph Spofford, Cavaluzzi was released. He is due back in court July 8.
