Miss Italia Peekskill, Nadia Manginelli steps out to support the Victims of Domestic Abuse at the One Billion Rising Event in Peekskill

Miss Italia Peekskill, Nadia Manginelli ventured out on this cold Valentines Day after a snowstorm to support the victims of a domestic violence in a Flash Mob Dance in the One Billion Rising Event in Peekskill, New York.  In her speech, Ms. Manginelli spoke of the importance of women, men and children to speak up and not allow domestic abuse to rule their lives.  She expressed being there not as a beauty queen, but as a sister to the many people who had been victimized through domestic violence.  She encourage people to stand up and Rise above it!  One Billion Rising was a co effort put on by Embark!, the City of Peekskill, Victims Assistance Center and the Peekskill Artists Collective.
