Why is the Assumption Church involved with "beauty pagents"? Seems pretty ego worldly pursuit for a church. Plus Cinco de Mayo is a "holiday" invented by Corona Beer and other marketers. Its main purpose is to get people to buy beer and get drunk. The same could be said for St Pats day but at least thats got a real saint and was a big holiday in Ireland. Cinco de Mayo isn't a big thing in Mexico. Americans and the have just been duped into thinking its like 4th of July or something. Even the NY Times know how fake all this is....."Marketers Invent Fake Holidays"____http://www.nytimes.com/2003/05/02/business/media/02ADCO.html
