Letter to the Editor: In Support of Catherine Borgia

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef offers her support for Catherine Borgia for Westchester County Board of Legislators, 9th District.

To the Editor,

We are so fortunate that Catherine Borgia is running for the Westchester County Board of Legislators in the 9th District. Catherine presently serves as Ossining Town Supervisor and has done an outstanding job for the community. She has been a creative leader in reducing the cost of government through efficiencies and changing the way government does business. By contracting with the county for town police services, the town budget was reduced by $600,000 and by combining the village and town court systems there will be additional savings to the taxpayers of over $100,000.

Catherine Borgia has a proven record of success in not accepting status quo as the answer to how government needs to be run, but has instead been willing to work with others to inspire and develop changes that benefit the taxpayer while still providing important local services. She does not just talk about what can be done—she gets it done.

I know that she will bring these leadership skills to the county so that more sharing, consolidation, and tax reductions will take place there too. Her talents are needed to benefit everyone in Westchester. I hope you will join me on November 8th and enthusiastically vote for Catherine Borgia for Westchester County Legislator.

Sincerely,
