Foster Endorsed by New York League of Conservation Voters

The New York League of Conservation Voters, which works to make environmental sustainability a top political and policy priority in New York State, has announced its endorsement of Mary Foster for Mayor of the City of Peekskill.

Foster is a founding member and original board officer for the Northern Westchester Energy Action Consortium. She also serves as a member of the Mid-Hudson Region Sustainability Plan and, as mayor, has adopted legislation that will allow commercial properties to participate in a sustainable energy loan program. She is also responsible for creating the Conservation Advisory Council with the aim of developing an agenda for land preservation, estuary management and waterways protection.

"Throughout her time in public service, Mary Foster has made environmental sustainability a high priority," said New York League of Conservation Voters President Marcia Bystryn. "Because of her impressive track record of accomplishment and plans for an even greener, healthier city, we are proud to endorse Mary Foster for Peekskill Mayor."
