ELECT JUDGE KLEIN

I have been a practicing attorney in this local area for over 38 years.

I am part of a three generation family of lawyers who practice law in Putnam, Westchester, Dutchess and Rockland Counties and we are all quite familiar with the local Court system in those communities including the Town of Cortlandt.

The Hon. Gerald Klein, sitting Justice in the Town of Cortlandt, is running for re-election this upcoming November and our family of lawyers support Judge Klein for his re-election.

While Judge Klein has been on the bench, he has exhibited a strong sense of independence and has the judicial temperament and the integrity to warrant his re-election to the bench.

The Town of Cortlandt Court is presently operating with a limited staff. Despite this, the clerks who work for the Town of Cortlandt Court run one of the most efficient courts in the County of Westchester.

Over the last six terms as sitting Justice in the Town of Cortlandt, Judge Klein has been a very hard working, diligent, conscientious Town Justice who gives all parties who stand before him a fair shake.

Judge Klein is well versed in the law as it pertains to both the criminal and civil calendars. His hard work and diligence is the reason our Court system in the Town of Cortlandt runs so efficiently. It is important to the integrity of our community and the court system that this consistency and efficiency continue.

Over the years during the time that my family has practiced before him, Judge Klein has not been influenced by political affiliation or any particular group and provides all parties who stand before him with their day in court based upon the facts of the situation and the proper application of the law.

The citizens of our community are fortunate to have such a competent jurist on the bench along with Judge Daniel McCarthy. Both Judges are diligent, hard working and conscientious.

To keep our Town Court operating at its high level of efficiency and effectiveness, I ask Cortlandt voters to support Judge Klein on November 5, 2013.
