AFL-CIO Endorses Mayor Mary Foster
Cites efforts to "improve the lifestyle of all the residents of Peekskill
Peekskill's Mayor Mary Foster is proud to have been endorsed by the Westchester-Putnam Central Labor Body of the AFL-CIO.

"You possess a strong understanding of the working people of the county and the delegates were very interested in making sure we endorsed you. Your past support of our locals and your open door policy were cited as reasons for the importance of this endorsement" stated the WPCLB Vice Presidents in their letter of endorsement.

"I fight every day to help the working men and women of Peekskill" said Mayor Foster "and I greatly appreciate the strong support I get from our local Labor Body."
Mayor Foster has always fought to create new, well-paid jobs with livable wages and benefits.
The Vice Presidents' letter continues "The AFL-CIO is constantly monitoring the political scene to see how politicians are voting on key issues such as health care, living wage, unemployment insurance, IDA reform, educational opportunity, worker's compensation, minimum wage, prevailing wage, and other issues that improve the lives of working people. We know you (Mary Foster) continue to listen to the voices of working men and women and to work with them to improve the lifestyle of all the residents of Peekskill."
The AFL-CIO has identified hundreds of households in Peekskill which include one or more union workers.
